How long will it take before I start feeling better?

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions? Concerns? Call Adjust To Health and put your mind at rest.

The recovery time varies, depending on each patient’s individual case (diagnosis, severity, the length of time since the problem started, the rate of the patient’s healing ability.) Our Chiropractor will endaevour to help you to feel better in the shortest amount of time possible. In general, the sooner treatment is started after detecting a problem, the faster it will be to resolve.

Does the treatment hurt?

Chiropractic adjustments are safe and natural, and generally they do not hurt. There is occasionally a natural inherent discomfort or tenderness from the muscles surrounding the joints, especially during the first few treatments. Patients are encouraged to communicate openly so that the chiropractor may modify her approach to ensure you the best comfort.

What is the main form of treatment in chiropractic care?

The most important part of chiropractic treatment is the manual technique known as “adjustment” or “spinal manipulation.” Often there are other adjunctive forms of care employed such as soft-tissue work, ergonomic education, nutritional information, exercise advice and lifestyle changes – all aimed to support the patient’s recovery. The treatment is natural, safe and an effective alternative to medication which fundamentally addresses the underlying cause of pain – not just the symptoms. You can access Chiropractic care directly without the need for referral from your GP. Chiropractors provide care for patients of all ages with a range of acute (short-term) and chronic (long-term) conditions.

How much is it going to cost?

The cost varies from individual to individual. This is determined by the patient’s individual clinical case, the length of time the problem has been present, the compliance to the treatment plan, etc. We do routinely re-examine the patient’s progress and accordingly modify the treatment recommendations based on the patient’s progress.
